Growing up, Zistar was influenced by some of the most iconic figures in music. From the smooth moves of Michael Jackson to the modern-day hitmakers like Chris Brown, Lil Baby, and Gunna, his eclectic musical tastes are a major part of what defines his sound today. He describes his music as "versatile in genres," and he’s not afraid to push the boundaries by blending rap and singing in ways that feel organic and heartfelt. "I bring my childhood into the music," he explains. "Making sure my songs mean something and creating an influencing persona."

Zistar's message is simple but powerful: "No matter what position you are in, you should always be happy, positive, and stay true to what you want to do in life. Never give up." This theme of resilience and self-discovery shines through in his music, especially in his recent EP titled Tile (short for versatile). This project explores the complexities of life, blending pain, love, peace, and happiness, all while revealing a side of Zistar that fans haven't yet seen.

Though he hasn't yet collaborated with other artists, Zistar is looking forward to working with fellow musicians in the near future. In the meantime, he continues to stay motivated by his incredible support system and his personal drive to improve. "I sometimes look at the music and think I can do better," he shares. "My support system is top tier. They push me to keep going, especially in times of doubt."

As he gears up for the release of Selah, Zistar is engaging with fans online, sharing snippets of his music and giving them a taste of what's to come. "I'm pushing my work hard to the world so everyone can see it," he says. His social media presence is just as authentic as his music, as he works to stay true to himself and his unique sound.
